Cowpeek
—Poetry and Visuals by Smith, Cleveland, OH
Sunrise coming
hill ahead
rock rising
hill ahead
rock rising
Nightlight
Out in the holy new day
before darkness departs
and the animals disappear
In pre-dawn walk
I see no thing
and all thing
before darkness departs
and the animals disappear
In pre-dawn walk
I see no thing
and all thing
Many feathers ago in moon past
I dreamt of sleeping deer
woke to loving wife
Today was a seven deer
no skunk
dogwalk morning
(with four deer sleeping)
Life juggles space in time
living is friends, family, nature
I dreamt of sleeping deer
woke to loving wife
Today was a seven deer
no skunk
dogwalk morning
(with four deer sleeping)
Life juggles space in time
living is friends, family, nature
Bright sun
hot concrete
parched view
hot concrete
parched view
The wind chimes
sing song gentle
soothing wrong mental
I am damaged
I was meant to be damaged
I was born so
as are all
I keep on cuz time don't stop
just keeps going
and going
yet never gone
We keep the dead alive
long past possible
If time is relative, we're never alone
(groan)
sing song gentle

I am damaged
I was meant to be damaged
I was born so
as are all
I keep on cuz time don't stop

Hello new day
may I not flux you up
with greed selfishness stupidity
etc
oh, wait, I'm a human
fluxing up is what we do
how silly of me
may I not flux you up
with greed selfishness stupidity
etc
oh, wait, I'm a human
fluxing up is what we do
how silly of me

CONVERSATION WITH WIFE 56
You should talk to the frogs, they coulda toad you something
She tells me I need to take calcium for my bones
Calcium? Isn't that where the lions ate the Christians?
Let sleeping dogs lie, all others must tell the truth
I know plenty of nothing
and nothing knows plenty of me
Change is healthy, but dollar bills are healthier
Buddha sez expectations cause suffering
does this include expectant mothers?
Mycelium or yours? the mushroom asked the spore
Lady's late-Grandmother describing her nightmare:
"And there were horse skeletons in the trees!"
Which comes first, the chicken or the eggroll?
Got tired of fastening my belly button
so replaced it with velcro
After all, rumination wasn't built in a day
"The world is burning, and we're fighting over the fuel"
she sez
Nightbrood
Again in dark
black cat purring
in black denim lap
temporal this
kiss of bliss
Today’s LittleNip:
The dark wet deck
glistens with rain
shadows sliding sideways
