High Hopes for Problem Solving

INDEPENDENCE DAY
—Caschwa, Sacramento, CA

America fought and won
a long and bloody war
to free itself from the
egregious harms imposed
by the brutal King George

some have since extended
the concept of independence
to include unlimited freedoms
for themselves and all their
descendants

they have attempted to erase
all blame from white supremacist
officers who hold badges and guns,
but call any “radical” who holds bad
cops accountable the nemesis

we will need to reconstruct our
very way of problem solving
in order to preserve our constitutional
federal republic and not let our
core values keep dissolving
