ISSUES AND NOTHINGNESS

I’m just here so you can work out some issues.
That’s it. It’s all about you, me and issues.
Without issues, we would not be distracted,
And we might slip into nihilism.

It’s better to keep occupied, even if it’s painful at times.
You don’t want to slip into nihilism.
The last guy I saw that happen to
Lost interest in the subject matter
Of his girlfriend’s complaints,
Which turned out to be her opinions of him, etc.

He lost his issues, his girlfriend
And a whole lot of other stuff, all at once,
Once he slipped into it.

Don’t let it happen to you!
Keep caring, even if what you care about is inane,
Insane and a total drain.
And if you don’t, fake it!
It’s better than nothing,
Which is what nihilism is all about.

You have to choose between issues
And nothingness.
That’s all that’s on the menu.
