NEW YEAR’S LULLABY
—Michael H. Brownstein, Jefferson City, MO

This New Year’s—
let your dreams blossom into color,
let their perfume waft into your essence.
Now—
wake up, child.
You are much older now.
Open your window.
Let the sunshine in.
Let its warmth form your smile.
Let its light welcome you home.
