FAIRY LANTERNS AND WINGS

Today, from a hand of a child
I received a bouquet of wild flowers
Her eyes sparkled like stars in the sky.
Her smile was shiny and soft
like a sunflower under the sun.
“Love is coming to you!” she said.

Right the way I set the bouquet
In a porcelain vase on my nightstand.

At mid-night somebody placed a kiss
on my chick. I felt breeze of wings
over my lips. I felt shimmering lights
over my face and a song in my year.

My, flowers! Oh, Dear!
They open their buds
and a cloud of fairies
flapped their wings;
Dancing and gliding
with their glowing lanterns
Swirl after swirl, turn after turn!

In the morning He came
with 300 roses and dazzling ring
asking, indeed
“Would you marry me?”

KALEIDOSCOPE AT THE WINDOW

It was a rainy morning today.
The wind reaches the kitchen window
And stacks a bunch of leaves
Among the shiny drops
Making a happy mosaic
Of red, blue, brown and gold.
I was cooking, so I forgot
About today’s wet weather
And later, the rain stopped.

The sun got bored
Playing hide-and-seeks with the clouds
And began smiling again.
“Hello!” I said, waving a hand.
In return, on my window
I saw a happy kaleidoscope
Of hundreds of tiny rainbows
And all magnificent colors of Fall.

LET’S NOT HURRY THE MORNING LIGHT

Tonight, the stars
Are coming down from the sky
Slowly, slowly…
They are not lending on the ground;
They just hang above us
Lighting the path of love.

Give me your hand;
We can fly among them
Against all laws of gravity.
Fly, fly, fly with me
Towards the shimmering sky.
Fly, fly high. Waltz with me
Among swirling galaxies.

Fly with me above the silver clouds,
Above the cities,
Above the sleeping meadows.
Fly with me until
The opal mist lifts up;
Until the silky breeze starts
Weaving fables in your hair.

We have plenty of time
To share our love.
The night just began.
Let’s not hurry the morning light.

RIP MY PAST

RIP my past. I buried you
under a deep layer of dust.
I’m not lighting a candle
for farewell goodbye.
I’ll save it to light my path
into my bright future.

I adore my face
with sparkles in my eyes,
a happy smile,
And butterflies
weaved in my hair.

RIP my past.
Not because
you are bad or wrong,
But because
I need a new start,
new pulse
and new air to breath
free from rust and debris.

RIP my past.
I grew up, my childhood.
I grew up, my youth.
I am an adult.
The truth is, I have no regrets.
Let all mistakes
stay in the dark.

RIP memories of my old loves,
and welcome the new one
that will make me glow;
that will make me fly
on the wings of my dreams
and sing a song
with a written verse
that is whispered
from another distant universe.

NEW LOVE FROM HEAVEN
—Petrouchka Alexieva

My heart healed after all deep cracks,
numerous stitches and pain of love.

My heart used to bleed, my eyes used to cry,
But no more. My heart now smiles

in grace, given to me from above.
My heart is in love, new love from heaven.
